The 10th meeting of the Monitoring Committee for control of the projects executed by Cohesion Fund (Regulation 1164/94), approved by ISPA in period 2000-2006 Sofia, 25 January 2012

       On 25 January, will be held Tenth meeting of the Monitoring Committee for control of the projects executed by Cohesion Fund (Regulation 1164/94), approve of  program ISPA in the period 2000-2006. The main point in the meeting’s agenda will be the reporte for the actual project status and the acheved progress in the period May 2011 - November 2011.
      The Managing Authorities in Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Ministry of Environment and Water and Ministry of Transport will present their reports for general management of projects.

INTEGRATED WATER PROJECT IN THE TOWN OF ROUSSE

       The Minister of Reginal Development and Public Works - Rosen Plevneliev and the Commissioner for Regianal Policy - Johannes Hahn reviewed some projects financed by the European Union, located in Rousse. They saw part of Integrated Water Project in Rousse, which is financed by ISPA Programme - namely Water Treatment Plant in Rousse.

ISPA Programme
ISPA Programme is one of the three pre-accession instruments of the European Union along with PHARE and SAPARD programmes. ISPA was established as part of Agenda 2000 of EU and aims at supporting the preparation of the candidate-countries for accession in the Union, in the area of Environment and Transport. Programming on ISPA is performed on the basis of the Accession Partnership and two national strategic documents: ISPA Sector Strategy for Environment and ISPA Sector Strategy for Transport.


The main objectives of ISPA Programme are three:



  • To get the candidate-countries acquainted with the policies and procedures of EU;
  • To assist the candidate-countries in reaching EU standards in Environment protection;
  • To expand and link the national transport infrastructures of the candidate-countries and provide for their integration to the trans-European transport networks
